Ingredients:

1 1/2 kg  Yam, peeled, washed
4 Potatoes
3 to 4 Green Chillies, finely chopped
3/4 tsp  Ginger, finely chopped
1 1/2 tsp  Salt
3/4 tsp  White Pepper Powder
3/4 tsp  Red Chilli Powder
3/4 tsp  Chaat Masala
3/4 tsp,  Green Coriander finely chopped
1/2 cup  Bread crumbs
1 cup  Vegetable Oil for deep frying


Preparation:

Boil the yam and potatoes until tender. Drain and when cool enough to handle, grate finely. Squeeze out the excess water. Peel the potatoes and smash the yam and potatoes together Mix all the ingredients except oil. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions. Shape the portions into kababs. Heat the oil in a kadai. Deep fry the kababs, on medium heat till crisp and golden. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain the excess oil on absorbent kitchen towel. Serve hot with chutney.
